Person was entered with blank identifier
Symptoms:
Somehow a blank person was entered. How did this happen and how can the correct number be assigned?
Solution:
Usually a person identifier can be assigned by 4Site or can be user entered. When the New Person form loads, the person identifier/number is automatically loaded. The user can accept that assigned number or type in a different identifier as long as it follows the user assigned format. In this case, there was only a user format for personid. The blank value was acceptable to the user assigned format, so the save with a blank identifier was allowed. The person application has been changed so that blank is not an acceptable identifier for a person in the 4Site database.
