Year end Journal Entries
Enhancement Description:
Provide the capability of entering adjustments to the previous fiscal year after that year has been closed.
Solution:
The Journal Entry application has been changed to allow the entry and posting of a journal entry into the last fiscal period of the last closed fiscal year. If one or more accounts referenced in the journal entry are revenue or expense accounts, an additional year end journal entry is automatically created to adjust the Retained Earnings account. Year opening balances are also adjusted to reflect the effects of the adjustment journal entry.
