Symptoms:
When copying equipment using drag & drop, it is possible to copy entire root level locations to an equipment. This can occur if an organization opts to not allow system-generated key identifiers for the eqid entity (No SYSTEM type for the entity eqid on the formats table) The application inadvertently copies items with a blank parent (a root level node on the equipment tree).
Solution:
Test for the existence of a System type record for the eqid entity on the formats table. If no such record exists then inform the user that key identifiers must be manually supplied when a new identifier is required, i.e. - when an equipment is copied - when an equipment is moved temporarily (Note: a permanent move can be effected since the equipment retains its original id; only the parentage is changed)
