Allow specification of voucher posting date on individual voucher.
Enhancement Description:
When posting a voucher batch all the vouchers in the batch were forced to have the same transaction and posting date. As a way to save time and reduce the number of voucher batches needed, fields are required on individual vouchers for posting and transaction dates.
Solution:
A posting date column and a transaction date column have been added to the voucher header table, vohdr. When entering a voucher header the user may now enter a posting date and a transaction date for the voucher. If a user enters a posting date it must be greater than or equal to the current date. When the voucher batch is posted, only vouchers with a blank posting date or a posting date which is less than or equal to the current date are posted. This enhancement becomes useful for creating a 'rent' batch where there are 12 vouchers, one per month, for the rent. The invoice and posting dates would be the first of each month. The batch could be submitted to post in the background with the background poster set to requeue on a regular basis. If a user enters a transaction date it must be less than or equal to the posting date, if a posting date is entered, or less than or equal to the current date when the posting date is blank. This allows vouchers which reside in the same batch to post to different transaction periods. If the posting date and transaction date are left blank the voucher will post as before. An enhancement has also been made to the voucher copy form. Users may now enter a number of copies from 1 to 100. This is useful when entering similar vouchers such as in the rent example above. One voucher could be entered and then copied 11 times. After the copy the user just has to change a few date and description fields on the copied vouchers instead of entering all of the information over again.
