Enhancement Description:
The asset addition entry and display screens need to be modified to resemble the asset entry and display screens. The first month of depreciation is not being displayed accurately. A report listing assets and accumulated depreciation. Assets which have reached the end of their lifetime should continue to depreciate.
Solution:
The same forms are now used when entering assets and asset additions. Asset addition depreciation can now be viewed using the depreciation tab in the same way asset depreciation can be viewed. The depreciation start date has been removed from the asset entry screens. The in service date will now be used for the depreciation starting point. The calculation for the first depreciation period will take into account partial periods. The asset subledger report which is run directly from the Fixed Asset application lists assets and depreciation. Depreciation will continue to accumulate against assets until their value reaches 0.
