BOF or EOF error changing equipment cost centre account

Equipment application crashes when updating a cost center.
Symptoms:
When attempting to update a cost center the equipment application terminates with the following error: Run-time error '3021': Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record. The error only occurs after doing a search containing a wild card character.
Solution:
An error in the initialization routine was causing the parent identifier to be set incorrectly when doing a wild card search. The error in the parent identifier would cause the above error and subsequent crash. The setting of the parent identifier has been corrected and a proper error trap has been added to the module which was terminating the equipment application.
