Enhancement Description:
1. Categorize assets by sub type as well as type. 2. Additional asset depreciation reports are required.
Solution:
1. 1. A new combo box has been added to the asset form which allows the user to select an asset sub type. The control also allows the user to add new sub types and remove sub types that are no longer used by pressing the +/- button beside the pull down. Initially all assets are loaded with the default sub type of n/a. 2. The following Crystal reports which are submitted from the Reports menu in the Asset Register application have been created: Fixed Asset Subledger - Lists asset information including cost, accumulated depreciation, and net book value up to and including an entered fiscal period grouped by asset account, asset type, and asset sub type. Asset Additions Report - Lists assets added to the database between a start and end period. The information is grouped by asset account, asset type, and asset sub type. Asset Disposals Report - Lists assets which have been disposed between a start and end period. The information is grouped by asset account, asset type, and asset sub type. Asset Location Report - Lists assets grouped by location, asset account, asset type, and asset sub type. Periodic Depreciation Report - Lists depreciation information for a specified period sorted by asset account, asset type, and asset sub type.
