Purchase requisition may have wrong supplier.
Symptoms:
The Purchase Request was created and routed to the buyer. The original supplier was not correct so the buyer changed the supplier. They typed in CARIBOO FORD and hit save. However, when the supplier was changed, this somehow saved the typed entry into the “supid” field instead of the “supname” field. I have reviewed the “prsup” table via a read-only reporting DB user and the “supid” column shows “CARIBOO FORD” for this “prid”.
Solution:
The form unload event for the Supplier Lookup form may lose the error indicator in some cases. A further problem in the Line Supplier Change form allowed the saving of an invalid supplier.
