Approve Requisitions using a Blackberry
Enhancement Description:
Allow use of BlackBerry device for e-mail approvals.
Solution:
Allows sending from 4Site of Purchase Requisition Workflow approval requests as email to Mobile devices like the Blackberry, and approval/rejection responses to be sent back to 4Site from the Mobile device. A new 4Site service (BgSvc.exe) sends the approval emails and responds to the reply emails by forwarding the purchase requisition to its next workflow step. The service is installed and managed by the 4Site Service Manager application (SvcMgr.exe). The service uses SMTP/POP3 for sending and reading email, so frees the server hosting the service from requiring Outlook or other email software. The server must howevwer be set up as a 4Site client, so that it can access the 4Site database.
