Elevated privilege requested for Vista installs stays activated.
Symptoms:
When fsc issues a patch, Vista users will receive the pop-up box requesting elevated privilege to complete the installation. Once the install is complete, 4site will launch the control centre login window, with elevated privilege. This causes other apps launched from 4Site to be launched with elevated privilege. This can cause issues when 4site uses and/or stores files in areas that it won't have access to in the future.
Solution:
www.codeproject.com has graciously offered free use of VistaLib32.dll that contains the function called RunNonElevated for 4Start to use to launch CC in reduced privilege. The RunElevated routine will also be used by 4Site to launch 4Start if installation is requited. The file VistaLib32.dll will be added to the server winsys folder for clients to download to their \windows\system32 folder. (Registration not required)
