Document Attachment Enhancements
Enhancement Description:
1. Treat .doc, .docx and .docm as though they were .doc 2. Allow search for all types of documents rather than just Word or Excel. 3. Default a document title to the file name without the path or extension.
Solution:
1. User is now allowed to use file extensions with an "*" (asterisk) as a wildcard either as a prefix “*myExt” or suffix “myExt*” and all the matching files will belong to the same file type. 2. Behavior of the Add Attachment dialog changed to allow the user -by default- to look for any file, after selecting one, the program will look among 4Site’s valid file types to match the file’s extension, if found it will automatically set the file type on the dialog, else will generate an error. 3. Title now defaults to the file name, allowing the user to change it if necessary. 4. Default folder is now user configurable. 5. Minor bugs solved (form size). 6. The program will now automatically check if the user does have Microsoft Office document types (DOC, XLS and PPT) and if he/she does, then it will automatically "upgrade" those file types to the new extensions used by Office (DOCx, XLSx, PPTx, etc.)
