Account lookup in New Line Distribution no longer works as it did
Symptoms:
The Lookup Accounts window appears without any reference to the partial entry in the previous window and requires the user to re-enter the data and do a new search for the account – once found the user again has to select the desired account with the mouse and click on the Pick Button to return to the previous screen. This process has added significantly to the amount of work required for data entry.
Solution:
When validating a wildcard account a check is made to see how many accounts match the wildcard entered. If no accounts match an error message is displayed. If only one account matches the formatted account and name are placed in the textbox. If more than one account is found the lookup form appears with the list of accounts matching the wildcard displayed. A default button has also been placed on the lookup form so users can use the enter key instead of clicking the pick button.
