Printed PO does not show mfg's part number for buyer sourced PO.
Symptoms:
A printed PO does not always show the manufacturer's part number. For example, a buyer sourced PO for which a manufacturer's part number is entered does not show the part number on the print but a stock reorder PO will show the part number.
Solution:
The manufacturer's part number would not show up for item's where the manufacturer information could not be determined. So, if you created a PO that did not reference a Pricebook Item but a part number was provided anyway, the part number would not appear on the print out. If a Pricebook Item was provided and the part number came from the Pricebook Item definition, then it would appear on the print out. To resolve this issue, the part number will appear on the print out whether or not it can be matched up with existing manufacturer information. If it the part number can be matched to a manufacturer, "MFCT #: XYZ (Manufacturer Name)" will appear on the print out. If it can't be matched to a manufacturer, "MFCT #: XYZ" will appear on the print out.
